You want your hair extensions to be naturally silky and beautiful and have an extended lifespan? Then please follow our advise on how to look after them.
Before washing untangle your hair with your fingers first and brush your hair gently starting at the ends working your way up to the top. It’s best to wash your hair standing while having a shower. Shampoo your scalp gently and allow shampoo to wash over the length of your hair, don’t rub. Rinse generously. Use a high quality conditioner, massaging it gently into lengths and tips of your hair. Be careful not to touch the connecting bonding, micro-rings or tapes with conditioner! Allow the conditioner to absorb 2-3min and, again, rinse generously.
If your hair needs extra care allow the conditioner to stay on for 10-20min before rinsing.
Wrap your hair in a towel, don’t rub, but knead carefully. To achieve smooth tips use our special Tip Fluid with Morrocan Argan Oil. Again, start combing your hair with your fingers, allow them to air-dry a bit before gently brushing them beginning at the tips and working your way upwards.
We suggest to wash hair with extensions in not more than two or three times a week.

Brush your hair gently twice daily. Check the connection points (U-tips, micro-rings, tapes) every few weeks, let a friend help to remove damaged ones and reuse them with new connection points.
To avoid tangling visit a hairstylist every four weeks for a check-up cut, no worries, your hair will not get shorter! The stylist will just remove loose hair (mostly your own hair), which tends to accumulate at connection points and that’s where tangling starts.
You can style, dry, straighten, curl extensions basically like your own hair. Avoid styling products, which contain alcohol, oils, silicone, as they damage connection points. Use a hair-dryer only on medium setting, never hot.
If you wear a ponytail at the Gym or while doing sport tell your hairstylist already when she applies the extensions. They need to be fastened particularly safely. The connection points should not be visible when you wear your hair high up. If you have tape extensions put you hair up in a high-bun, which allows the tapes to fold over straight and keeps them invisible.
Chlorine and seawater damage hair and hair extensions, particularly the connection points. If saltwater dries on your hair the salt crystals remain on your hair and render it dry and brittle as they extract moisture from your hair. Have a shower with clear water after swimming, using a small amount of gentle shampoo/conditioner.
No worries, you won’t damage your hair while sleeping! Here some tips for a good night’s sleep with extensions.
With hair extensions it's an absolute no-no to shower in the evening and go to bed with wet hair! This bad habit damages not only your extensions but also your own hair. Wet hair is soft and the movements of your head on your pillow creates friction and your hair becomes matted. Another problem created by sleeping with wet hair is that water penetrates the connection points swell up and soften. Your extension strands can fall out.
Before you go to bed give your extensions some extra care. Make a small self-care ritual out of it. Brush your hair before going to bed carefully. Hold hair in your hand near your scalp and gently start brushing from the bottom up.
Sleeping with open hair damages your extensions and the connection points through friction on your pillow. The hair becomes matted and knots. Through your movement while sleeping extension strands might be pulled out.
To keep your extensions in perfect condition you should bind your hair in a loose Dutch braid on your back or two braids at your sides or a bun on top of your head or a ponytail in your neck - whatever is the most comfortable for your sleeping habits. Always braid loosely, never tight!
